Managing Products & Categories
Your product catalog is the backbone of your store. CrazyPOS offers flexible product management to handle simple products, variants, and services.
Creating a New Product
- Go to Inventory > Product List in the Admin Console.
- Click + Create Product.
- Enter the basic details:
- SKU/Barcode: Scan the manufacturer barcode or leave it blank to auto-generate a unique SKU.
- Product Name & Description.
- Category: Assign the item to a category (e.g., Accessories, Devices, Cables). This helps organize the Quick Keys on the POS.
Pricing and Costing
Understanding margins is critical. Always enter the Supplier Cost Price alongside your Retail Selling Price. The system will auto-calculate your gross profit margin percentage.
Tracking Inventory (Stock Level)
Turn "Track Inventory" ON for physical goods (like phone cases). Turn it OFF for services (like Screen Replacements or Consultation Fees). For tracked items, enter the initial stock on hand.
Product Variants (e.g., Colors and Sizes)
If you sell a Phone Case that comes in Red, Blue, and Black:
- Enable the Has Variants option.
- Create attributes like "Color".
- The system will generate independent SKUs and sub-inventory quantities for each variant, so you know exactly how many Red cases are left.
