Multi-Channel Triggers & Setup (Email/SMS)
The CrazyPOS Notification System acts as your automated communications team, triggering customized alerts for predefined actions.
Supported Channels
You can communicate with your customer and staff using:
- Email: Completely free, via your authorized Outbox. Perfect for rich HTML receipts and complex warranty documentation.
- SMS: Highly visible. Requires assigning a Twilio or MessageBird gateway via Settings > SMS Integration. Carrier rates apply.
- In-App System: Dashboard alerts that pop up for your staff members globally without navigating to external apps.
Configuring Event Triggers
Navigate to Notifications > Event Setup. CrazyPOS supports over 13 specific events, including:
- Sales Order Receipt: Fired instantly upon checkout completion.
- Repair Status Update: Fired when a tech progresses a job (e.g., from "In Progress" to "Ready for Pickup").
- Quotation Confirmation: Fired when an official quote is generated.
- Abnormal Login Alert: A security-focused System alert broadcasted to Admin staff when unusual logins occur.
Granular Toggling
For each event, you have precise control over the recipient and channel. For instance, when a "Repair Status" changes:
- You might turn ON SMS and Email to the Customer.
- You might turn ON an In-App System Notification for the Branch Manager.
This allows high customizability for multi-store operations, ensuring customers are informed while keeping staff loops tight and clean.
